Students in Mrs. McDermott and Mrs. Cannetti’s Business Law classes at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ High School East transformed into museum curators. Tasked with creating exhibits on either a Suffolk County court or a New York State judge, students researched, designed and presented their exhibits to faculty, staff and fellow students.
This hands-on project provided students with a deeper understanding of the legal system while enhancing their research and presentation skills. Later this month, these classes will further their learning with a visit to the Central Islip courthouses.
